I have the new Apple TV 4K. Everything is working fine accept for Disney plus. It keeps coming up with a HDCP issues and refusing to play any content. All other streaming apps work fine and I didn’t have this issue with my old Apple TV.

Disney plus + not playing on new Apple TV

Yeah, the app is ****. Sorry I can’t be more helpful.
I’ve tried restarting but it’s not helping. I was thinking of picking up a fire TV stick as they are on sale. I hate the things but my kids are getting quite upset about not being able to watch Disney plus.
Have you deleted/re-installed the app? If not, do that, but before you re-install do a hard restart of the device by holding down the Back+TV buttons until the light on the front blinks.
It is working fine for me using an HDMI cable. How are you connecting it to the TV?
HDMI cable. I have no issues with any other streaming apps. Only the Disney + app. Also on never had this problem with my old Apple TV.
I have the same thing happen regularly happen, restarting the Apple TV resolves the problem, until the next time.
Last time this occurred I switched to the Disney+ app on the LG TV‘s OS and it played without issue, indicating the problem is wit the Apple TV/Disney+ app.

I bought a new cable which I will test out tomorrow. I had a bunch of older cables in the house but I wanted a new one just to rule it out.
Yes. I bought a brand new cable. Changed out the cable and even tried and different HDMI port. The exact same thing. Not working. All my other streaming apps work. Only Disney plus doesn’t. Now I’m going to have to get a fire TV stick just for Disney plus.
Well I force closed all the apps and restarted the device (after a new HDMI cable and new HDMI port) and it seems to be working again.
