What are you going to watch while you bake in the West heat? I pay for Disney+ (3 year deal upfront). I wouldn't pay for ESPN+ unless they ran a special price for hockey season etc.
ESPN+ is replacing NHL.TV this year, so 6.99 for the hockey season is a pretty damn good deal. I paid 145 for the season this year and you can get a whole year of ESPN+ for 70? And with the bundle its cheaper. Its a great deal if you like hockey.

While I am not much of a fan of the Ever Self Promoting Network except for NFL games. They had to increase the app to pay for the new NFL contract and the continued dive in ratings for the NBA. Their NBA contract is the worst in sports.

Good point. Thanks.

I’m not sure why people have to pay more for ESPN+ when people still have to pay regular price for pay-per-view events..

A couple years ago I got ESPN+ in the Fall to watch NFL. Interestingly enough they had very little NFL or NCAA FB on it. Mostly talk shows and reruns. I dropped it and that whole Disney+ garbage like a bad habit. I guess Disney+ might be good for parents with young kids, but ESPN+ wasn’t worth anything. 👎

For what? To get more crappy commentary from talking heads? I can get better than that on YouTube from people who actually know what they’re talking about and are funny.

Save yourself the money and watch Jomboy instead.

Just give me more lip syncing, which is almost 100% accurate each time... like his work on Donnie Baseball's response to Pablo Lopez getting ejected after 1 pitch. In fact, I'm going to go watch that again now.

Why am I not surprised? Its a well known fact that the forced bundling Fox and Disney did with their sports channels on cable TV was one of the reason CableTV prices kept jumping every year....

Embrace the subscription model they said. It's gonna be affordable they said. It's the way of the future they said.

The anti-trust regulators could soon go after Disney, exactly like they go after Apple and Google for being "too big" and dominating their own spheres. Disney owns almost every corner of entertainment content.... Star Wars (Lucasfilm), Marvel (comics), its own Disney brand, ABC, Pixar, The History Channel, and then you have ESPN (premium sports channels), etc.

It's no wonder Disney is able to raise subscription prices with impunity.
