I have a request to the 4 owners. I've already seen several people on Facebook, including me, that appears in completely dark environment, the display "bleeds", so easily shines through. I tried to illustrate that with images. Especially you can see it in the heartbeat app. Do you have something similar? As I said, visible only in complete darkness. On the right side of the display.

There is no such thing as light bleed in an OLED. Should say you are seeing uneven lighting results. Could be the OLED panel or the graphics display.

It should only happen when you are in complete darkness, in theater mode, slowly turn the crown so the screen is on minimum brightness, and have a dark gray background.

I've yet to see someone post an image of theirs looking perfect... so I'm assuming this is an issue with every watch.

There's already a thread on this..... I believe it's an issue with some OLED displays. There are beliefs that it's because the watch doesn't use PWM for brightness control. I have no idea, mine has it but I don't care.

I look at my watch in darkness and the clock face shows no bleed, no problems. The brightness is set to medium or in the center. I see no problems with my S4 display.
You have to go in the List View, not the "Planet" view for apps

If you put it in theater mode and slowly turn up the brightness you might see a little with a gray background. You basically have to be trying to see it. It doesn't happen with a black background.

WTF would I want to do that for. I have never even used theater mode. I suspect that this what you get from an OLED screen when you do this. Just saying my S4 looks good to me, especially since I do not go to the movies anymore.

Agreed.
I always have a black background, so it doesn't bother me.

It's just a case of hysteria that started on reddit: "if you do exactly these 3 steps you will see something to complain about." But it's not really an issue that affects me.

I just spent some time playing around with different faces and apps, in complete darkness. My S4 does not have any edge bleeding. I have to say that I don't remember the last time I tried to read my AW in complete darkness, but I get it that those are good conditions for testing. They just don't relate to my use of the AW.

I picked up a SS SB 44mm on Monday and it definitely had the display uniformity issue. Much worse than the OP's.

Right side decidedly lighter than left side under low brightness/low light conditions. Plus, there was a thin line on the left edge where is seemed like the display was off center.

Talked to Apple about it on Tuesday and they sent me an express replacement that arrived today.
This display is near 100% perfect. So they are out there.

Were you charged an applecare+ incident? That's literally what they told me they would need to do.

Insane
