So I have a mid 2007 iMac and a new 2019 iMac and I would like to have my old one as a dual screen. However, the display port doesn't fit a normal MDP connector, it is slightly bigger, by about 1 or 2mm so I am struggling to find anything. I have just ordered a dvi - hdmi adapter which is what I was told to get but it doesn't fit the Mini display port.

Any help would be great as I need this for work and Im getting frustrated.

Thanks

In order to use your 2007 iMac for a extra display for the 2019 iMac, the 2007 iMac would have to support Target Display Mode, it does not support TDM.

You can't use either of these two iMacs as secondary displays.
