Display changing colours

Anyone having this? My display suddenly snaps to a different tone. It's as if true-tone kicks in randomly or stops randomly. I go to the True Tone setting and toggle it on and off but it has no effect which makes me think perhaps True Tone shuts down or something when I see it switch tone.

It's hard to explain except that my display will suddenly jump from cold to warm without any input from me.

Hoping this is software.

I can't replicate it and I can't take a video of it because it only happens once every few days and when it changes there's nothing I can do to get it back to take a video.

Maybe you should check the color profile that you have set in Settings > Display > Color.

The color profile should not change but if it did it would have the effect you decribe. Do ou have any application running that may modify color settings.

Nothing that would mess with the colour.

Same issue for me. The screen suddenly switches from a blue to a yellow tone and vice versa without a smooth transition. When I turn off True Tone, the problem is gone. Hope they will fix it in Big Sur!
