Is there a way to get the names I've used in my contact list to be displayed when I view the list of messages in the inbox?

When I view an individual message, the name from my contact list overrides the sender's own display name and/or email address. But this doesn't happen when I view the list of messages in the inbox. The list of sent messages, however, properly uses the names from my contact list.

If everyone had email addresses that had some resemblance to their names, this wouldn't be a problem. But here in Japan, that is often not the case!

Thanks.

I have also noticed this. This is somewhat of a bug in the Mail app. There is no way to override this, as with other core apps. You can however take the email address out of the contact. This wouldn't be very helpful in my case, but I don't know about you.
