Hello all,

I have 13" MBP Retina which I am using for my work as well as personal use.

My chiropractor are now advising me to considering getting a monitor as my back posture when using lap top are giving me some problems.

I have a lap top stand but the screen is a bit small for me to comfortably read the screen. I am considering buying thunderbolt display. However before I do this, I am wondering if there are any good alternative display out there who can handle the resolutions from the lap top as well as be able to use the webcam for FaceTime. As a Deaf person, I use FaceTime and Skype everyday for work and personal.

Any advice on which non apple monitor and webcam (built in if possible) would be most welcome.

Many thanks :)

My preferred office setup was a quality IPS monitor, with a stand and dock. You could even put the stand on top of your printer and stand to do your work, then your chiropractor would be ecstatic. :)

Stand I used is mStand : http://www.amazon.com/Rain-Design-1...1437312423&sr=8-1&keywords=rain+design+mstand

Landing dock: http://www.amazon.com/LandingZone-E...&qid=1437312578&sr=8-14&keywords=MacBook+dock

Monitor: http://www.amazon.com/Dell-S2415H-2...id=1437312698&sr=8-4&keywords=dell+monitor+24

Keyboard: http://www.amazon.com/Das-Keyboard-...d=1437312873&sr=8-1&keywords=das+keyboard+mac

Apple's Magic Trackpad.

I would use the webcam on my laptop, as its placed in a great position... You might consider getting the swivel stand from mStand. Although my setup was a 15" rMBP, I couldn't imagine not using my retina screen, even if it was a 12" laptop.

Perhaps someone else will suggest a better monitor, or know of a quality IPS monitor with webcam.... Maybe the UZ2715H.
