I am thinking about getting a display for our 15” MBP bought in July 2019.
This is for office use for more screen real estate.
I am looking at the LG Ultrafine 5K with Apple wireless keyboard and mouse. Also looking at Twelve South BookArc stand for clamshell mode.
We also will use it to run HD photos and slideshows of the product we sell when meeting with clients.
Since I have always had iMac’s , I would appreciate input on this configuration.

I had my LG 5K for two years and it was amazing... until it broke

Lucky, in Australia apple handled the warranty and gave me a full refund, I didn’t even have to send it back to them

I’ve just bought another 2 until my XDRs arrive and the panels in them seem different to the last one, the colours aren’t incredible and they have almost scan lines in them

I can recommend the lg38wk95c. Curved but great (or great because it's curved). But to present photos you might be good with the LG5K or the XDR.

Mainly just need screen real estate for:
Spreadsheets
Keynote
Some SketchUp

Well I use it for Webdesign/Webprogramming, Photoshop and Office work. I had to get used to the curved screen but now I really like it. 38" is amazing and the 1600 pixel height adds also additional space. If you don't need retina resolution and/or multiple professional color specs, it's worth a try.
