I think you might be right. It's just darker maybe. I remember seeing the white iPhone 4 and noticed the black border was different.
Anyone have a link to a photo of the white iPhone 4?
I think the border is hidden with the black version but still visible with he white.

Not sure anyone else noted but the iPhone 4 has rid the screen of the useless gap that was around the LCD. Looks much nicer now!

screw the labels....look at the Zipcar app on the right phone....can totally see all the pixels....cant see that in any of apps on the left phone.

I'd like to say that I called this. People complained about the screen on the leak being 'slightly smaller' than the existing iPhone screen. I mentioned that it was likely because they cropped out the display gap, making the perceived size a bit smaller but maintaining the effective screen size.
Score one for random conjecture.
