Carrier Display goes dark covering sensors

Has anyone had an issue where if you cover the sensors above the speaker on the top of the display that the screen goes dark, haven’t noticed it before and it’s rather annoying!!

That means your proximity sensor is working as designed. It turns the display off while you are on a call and holding the phone against your head.

That should only happen when you’re on a call.
