Hi guys,

So I'm in a position where I need to display iPhone's screen (well, actually iPod touch 4gen) to an external screen. I need a solution where I can display a whole iPhone screen, not just in apps that support video out, so the kind of solution Apple uses at their keynotes.

Thanks!

I use DisplayOut with the iPad VGA adapter. Your phone/ipod needs to be jailbroken in order to do this though.

ZOMG Apple uses jailbroken iPhones at their keynotes then :D Thanks for the help anyways.

LOL no, they got direct access to the Hardware and non-public APIs they are the gatekeepers for then the idevices are not in "jail", they are not only showing the device screen they can actually remote control it (If you haven't noticed). you don't have to believe me, anyone can download the SDK, you can take a look at all the available APIs.
