Hi there,

since a few days I've some strange display issues with my Mac Pro (Late 2013) and the attached NEC PA322UHD 4K 32" screen:

The display is connected via Displayport to MiniDisplayPort and runs in 60Hz at 3840x2160px. If I connected via HDMI and 30Hz everything is okay. On the Mac Pro runs OSX 10.14.1 and it also happens with HighSierra.

Any ideas? I'm helpless :-(

That’s some pretty gnarly graphical distortion. Could it be a bad gpu? I don’t have experience running those displays so maybe it’s an OS quirk. Any chance you have windows loaded and could test in a non-Mac OS?

Try moving to a different TB port - forces to move to a different output of video card.
Try different brand adapter.
Try TB to HDMI 2.0 adapter.

Otherwise possible bad video card?

Same problem with D700s and two Dell 4K monitors. Major glitches with Chrome. Minor streaks at other times.
