I have a hot corner set for this and that seems to work fine. Could there be something preventing the display going to sleep?

auxbuss macrumors 6502 Feb 18, 2014 455 330 UK Dec 11, 2018 #2 Could be. There's a column in Activity Monitor that you can add to find out. It's labelled: Preventing Sleep. You can also run `pmset -g assertions` and look for sleep related items in the Listed by owning process section.
