All,

I would love to be able to drive two external displays with a Mac Book Pro. Is this at all possible using the display port interface?

Thanks

Possible it is up to a certain res. You cannot drive two 2560x1600 displays. You'd have to wait for Displayport 1.2 which we won't see till the next year refresh I guess. 1.2 allows daisy chaining of displays like firewire and has enough bandwidth for pretty much anything.

Currently the only way I know of is to use a hub like Matrox Dual head to go. I don't know if there are anyothers. But you need some active splitter that splits one signal into two as the MBP has only one output port. Many PC Notebooks have a HDMI + Displayport + VGA output and you can usually drive 2 displays at the same time.

The Matrox only allows for 2 equal res. Displays but there might be other solutions out there which support a different res too. Technically it is possible.
