My MBP has a habit of dimming after about 2-3 minutes of inactivity on the unit. I've tried numerous ways I thought would stop this but it seems to keep doing it. I've played with the energy saving settings and so on but can't seem to take the dimming off or delay it for a longer time. Can someone please explain how I can fix this problem, thanks.

There is a check box somewhere under energy savings that says "dim display before going to sleep" un-check that.

your energy savings profile should then switch to custom. if you switch it back to "Normal" or "Better Battery Performance" it will revert back to its checked status.

what i do is when im using my MacBook Pro at my desk i have it plugged in and have "Automatically reduce the brightness of the display before sleep" unticked in Options for Power Adapter. and when im out and about with it i just let it dim before sleep as it saves a lot of battery power.
