So I'm just getting used to my first MBP. I've recently switched from a windoze machine to a MacBook for a few months (which I gave to my wife), now to a MBP.

I notice that sometimes when I close the lid while the unit is still turned on and plugged into the power supply, when I come back, the display doesn't wake. It appears as though the unit is running (I heard email notifications etc.) but the display doesn't come back on. I have to turn it off, then back on.

Any idea what this might be, or how I can fix it?

Thanks,
Bill

Check the settings in System Preferences, Energy Saver, and see if it's set to sleep or hibernate. If it's set to hibernate you'll have to push the power button to wake it up. Sleep will allow it to wake up when you open the lid.

Sleep

It's set to sleep, not hibernate. But it's done it several times over the last day or so, where have to reboot to get the display back up and running.

10.5.2 Bluetooth issue

I think I just found a page that might just explain what is going on.

And what do you know, now that I think of it, this issue started happening right about the same time that I lit my bluetooth mouse up...

I'll update later to let you know whether this appears to have fixed the issue.
