As you can see in my screen shot, the default for the display to timeout or turn off is 2 minutes.

Sometimes I find it too short of amount of time and Im actually deciding to make it 4 minutes when on battery power.

Will this make a HUGE difference in battery drain?
That is my main question.

With that said, the battery life is just amazing on my MacBook Pro.

You didn’t mention the model and what tasks/load are running during the time in question.
I’m assuming a 2023 14" M2 Pro MacBook Pro for the following to give an idea:
- 2,5 W idle min (Wi-Fi/BT off, display min/off)
- 12,1 W idle avg (Wi-Fi/BT off, display max brightness)
> display accounts for 79% (9,6 W) of the power consumption

Idle:
So for the 2 additional minutes you keep the display on, you could instead run the MBP
120 s * (12,1 / 2,5) = 581 s or 9 min 41 s with display off
(7 min 41 s longer in idle with display off)

Under load it consumes 49,8 W:
So for the 2 additional minutes you keep the display on, you could instead run the MBP
120 s * [49,8 / (49,8-9,6)] = 149 s or 2 min 29 s with display off
(29 s longer under load with display off)

At 1080p video playback, it lasts an astonishing 16:22 h so if you enjoy 4 minutes instead of 2, go for it.
The lower the brightness and the higher the general power consumption, even less of an impact does the display have.
