I've not seen anything either way for the portable line.

But if I had to guess, I'd say no, they won't go beyond 8 bit, as they are consumer grade machines.

The DisplayPort standard itself is capable of going to greater color depth, even with Apple using the stupid proprietary connector to make Mini DisplayPort.

Supports color depth of 6, 8, 10, 12 and 16 bits per color component
