Hi, a random occurrence but very irritating and causing significant stress.......... I send a mail using Mac Mail on MBP. The mails disappears without trace. Can't be found on MBP or iCloud.
A call to the recipient confirms they received the mail.
Several calls to Apple Care has not solved the problem.

Any ideas? Is this happening to others?

Thanks.

Yes. Also worth mentioning this started since Mavericks update.

could someone be deleting them from another device? I do that sometimes on accident with my work email, however I can get it back from the exchange trash.

Have you looked in the trash, or other email folders to see if you accidentally moved it on your iPhone to the trash or other folder?

Did you check you iPad to see if the "kids happened to it?" while playing Angry Birds?

It happens when using my MBP with my iPhone sitting on the desk untouched. For sure I've checked Drafts, Out Box, Sent, Trash folders and iCloud. Its a complete disappearance. Its as if I never wrote the mail! The only way to temper the "am I going insane" thought is to call the recipient to ensure mail was received.......not really ideal with some clients.

Did you check your iCloud IMAP settings in Apple Mail? There your can tweak the time (after which) to DELETE FROM SERVER. This is for SENT items too.
