Distnoted

I noticed multiple instances of this process running and I have no idea what it is. I've shut everything down and it comes back. I have a few things that start up automatically, but I've never noticed this before. I did a little searching and didn't find much information.

"distnoted -- distributed notification server
distnoted provides distributed notification services.
There are no configuration options to distnoted. Users should not run distnoted manually."

I also have around 20 instances of distnoted running (on Monterey). I think that's normal, and wouldn't worry about it.

I too found 34 instances of distnoted running on my BookBook Pro Max running 12.3.1 while troubleshooting a slowness issue (Malwarebytes turned out to be the culprit). As you can see, it's not killing my machine, but I've never noticed a process with so many instances before. The user of each has an underscore ( _ ) before its name except for my user name.

Rebooting doesn't help. I suppose I could start turning features off one by one to find the cause, but does anyone else have this issue?
