Divx Issue

I downloaded the free version of Divx about a few months ago and it just expired. A lot of my friends have Divx and they downloaded it the same way as i did but there's has yet to expire. Am i able to get Divx back again without paying $19.99? I've tried downloading the free trial OVER AND OVER again and it allows me but then once i try to use the converter it asks for a serial number, therefore It forces me to purchase it. Any suggestions? Any other free converters I could use to help me out?

What are you trying to do, just play DivX files? If so, there are tons of free options available to you that are better than the company's own player. Try Perian.
