iPod DJ/Party Shuffle doesn't

Hello all,

This is was an issue I had with iTunes 8.0 and it's carried over to 8.1.

When I go into Party Shuffle (or now DJ), my tracks are lined up to play alphabetically. They are not shuffling. I've gone into View and Shuffle and it's grayed out.

When I play playlists or albums it does shuffle (if I so desire). The problem is just with Party Shuffle/DJ.

Any ideas?

same problem

I have the same problem, for some reason the auto shuffle stopped working and with ITunes DJ it persists. I have tried switching playlists, looked everywhere for some option that may have been changed but no luck. Also, when I hit the 'refresh' button on ITunes DJ, no effect (songlist just shows sequential songs by album)
