iPod DJ still doesn't shuffle

Thought this might be a bug addressed in version 9 when it came out today but evidently not.

My iTunes DJ (playlist) does not shuffle at all. I open that list and I get an alphabetical listing of my albums and songs. I go into Controls and Shuffle and it's grayed out.

I go back into Controls and Shuffle while playing an artist or album and I CAN shuffle. This used to work but stopped either in a late 7.x release or sometime in 8.

Anyone else seeing this and or know of a fix?
