Hi, I've had this problem for a while now and I really need some help! Every time I open certain applications e.g. Wallet, the .dmg it came on opens up on my desktop and no matter how many times I eject it it keeps coming back!

I've tried a re-install but that hasn't sorted anything, have I accidentally changed a setting that I shouldn't have? 😕

- I'm running Snow Leopard

Any help much appreciated!
Thanks
Harry

Drag the icon of the application from the DMG folder into your Applications folder (or to the Desktop/wherever). You are currently opening the application from inside the dmg folder.

Yeah, thats the weird bit! I am putting the icon into the applications folder 😕

You need to stop doing that or it will mount the DMG every time.

Open the .dmg file
Drag the contents to the Desktop
Eject the disk image
trash the .dmg file
open application you just dragged to the desktop
