.dmg files does not open

    I am using Mac OS X Lion 10.7.3 on a 15" MBP.

    Problem now is that everytime I click on a .dmg file, it opens Disk Utility. Why is that?

    It should just open the .dmg file without opening Disk Utility or something like that...

    What is the problem with Mac OS X Lion or is it my MBP's hardisk signs of problem?
