.dmg files

Ok, i downloaded PPC linux onto my pc so i could use linux on my mac. I dont have a cd burner on my old ibook so i had to download them to my pc. My question is can i burn .dmg files on my pc some how. If not can i somehow convert the .dmg files to .img files on the pc. If i can convert the .dmg files to .img files will a .img file be bootable on a mac? I know this is confusing but please if any info help me!!! Also, i know their were previous threads dealing with .dmg files on a pc but they lead me no where.
