Is this when the phone is locked or unlocked? Have you checked your DND settings in relation to that?

locked and yes checked dnd settings and it doesn't show any option related to app notifications

Not related to app notifications but related to DND applying when locked and unlocked or just locked. Are you also sure that DND is in fact enabled? What type of notifications are you seeing go through?

You still get notifications when DND is enabled, they just appear in Notification Center and lockscreen (they just don't make a sound or wake the screen).

exactly the notificatoins from this kuna app are making a sound. Other notificaits don't make any sound and calls don't come thorugh when the moon sign is on

That's really odd. Seems like DND is working if the other alerts aren't coming through. Not sure how that one app could be getting through. Perhaps try deleting and reinstalling that app in case something weird happened with its install?
