I have both a 2019 16" MacBook Pro (Intel I7) and a 2020 Mac mini (M1), both running Monterey with FileVault enabled.
On the Mac mini, installing a macOS update via Software Update prompts me to type in my administrator password before the install will occur.
On the MBP, I get no such prompt.
My account is an administrator on both.
Not really a problem per se. Just trying to understand why the discrepancy in behavior--is this just an Apple Silicon thing? Or is there some setting for this?
