Hi all,

I am a new owner of the 11” iPad Pro and am loving it except I am running into a problem I have never experienced on any mobile device. I have tried 3 different tempered glass screen protectors now and they ALL remove touch functionality almost completely - they work occasionally when I use my fingernail to touch the screen with some force, but I would say 1/20 touches register and as far as any reasonable person would be concerned it renders the iPad useless. Installs are perfect, no dust, no bubbles. Face ID even works.

I have owned dozens of iPads and phones in the past and always have flawless luck with tempered glass screen protectors. I am super anal about my stuff and always use them. I am confident I have done perfect installs every time. Reviews on Amazon seem to echo my complaints. Has anyone else experienced this? Is there something with the new screen that doesn’t like screen protectors? I had a tempered glass screen protector on my previous iPad Pro 10.5” and it was perfect - you didn’t even know it was there. Same with all my other devices for that matter including every previous iPad.

And yes I know some of you are against screen protectors but unfortunately that is not an option for me. I have tried JETech, ESR and one other brand I can’t remember at the moment. Is anyone using a glass screen protector that maintains 100% touch functionality? I have never run into this issue in 10+ years of mobile devices.

Thanks in advance!

I have the 12.9...beautiful and fast machine by the way, a refreshing update from my first generation 12.9 Pro.

I installed the JeTech glass protector from Amazon and Face ID and touch sensitivity are not affected at all. I havent tried the Pencil yet but I am optimistic it’ll work normally. I can’t say the same with the 11”...I heard it’s not protector friendly. Good luck.
