Considering getting these, price and reviews are impressive. Also, I like the low profile design, the fact that they are only buds and don’t have anything extending out of them. Am I losing anything I would get with the Air Pods?

I believe AirPods now switch to any of your Apple devices automatically with the latest software. Apart from that, there are so many copycats out there it’s getting hard to keep an overview. The ones you linked are in-ears so it will depend on how well they fit you in order to get good sound.

For the money, why not try them out and send them back if needed?

you see quite a few reviews these days for the low cost earbuds. Apple marketing tends to flog a dead horse a lot.
i would not worry about it, at least peeps have a choice.

I got Jabra Elite 65T refurbs for $50 from Newegg. They are far superior to AirPods (which I recently returned before the 1 year mark because 1 side wouldn’t charge anymore). The Jabras have been able to connect to multiple devices at the same time and automatically switch for years now. Battery life is good and the seal provides good noise isolation. I use the Jabras for hours daily as my conference call headset and they are comfortable for extended use.

I can't use Apple's AirPods, even the wired ones, they don't fit me right. For a bit now, I've been a fan of a brand called SoundPeats on Amazon. Are they the same "caliber" as Apple, no probably not, but for the $22-$40 a pair I paid depending which one we're talking about, the sound quality is outstanding. Not to mention, I wouldn't be beside myself if I were to lose and/or break one.

Jabra's an established brand though. The Elite 65T are ~$100 brand new so very near AirPods pricing albeit much less expensive than the AirPods Pro.

Recently tried a $30 Aukey after I thought I lost one ear of my AirPods. Sound's okay but watching videos, A/V sync was ever so slightly off. Also, switching devices is a pain.

Personally, bluetooth pairing/connection is my usual gripe with wireless headsets. Among the few I've used, AirPods have been the easiest/least painful on that regard so I grudgingly pay the premium for them.

That’s my biggest thing, as with sunglasses $150 is a lot to spend on something so easily lost.

Not sure if the cheaper ones can do this, but my AirPods Pro can be located with the Find My app from Apple. Nice touch.

I have just purchased AirPods Pro to replace my cheaper enacfire Bluetooth earbuds.
The cheaper set were ok, but audio quality was lacking, people struggled to hear me when on calls, the wireless range wasn’t great and trying to switch devices was a massive pain.
I still use the cheaper enacfire’s for running and the gym, but for anything else I just couldn’t especially now that I’ve sampled the APP.

I wouldn’t go with cheap cheap ones but certain ones like The anker liberty air 2 have better sound quality than the airpod pros for less than half the price. Yeah they don’t have all the extra bells and whistles but sound quality is what matters to me

You think even these are “cheap?”

i own a late 2016 Mac Book Pro and have had many issues with the unit. Still having issues.

For those purhases priced above your confort zone be carful what you purchase!

What has this to do with earbuds?

peeps do what you want, at least there is an option:
its hip to be square; buy the cheep ear buds
think there was a 1980's song about the cheep Panasonic Speakers or in this case earbuds.
