Do App Store guidelines prohibit use of the login keychain?

So, 1Password used to have an option where it could store it's Master Password in the user's login keychain therefore allowing the 1Password database to be unlocked automatically.

That option was removed from the App Store version and I'm wondering why...

I do realize that it is not particularly good security practice.

But is it also some sort of App Store rule that Apps can't store stuff in the keychain?

Yeah, I'm just wondering *why* that option was removed.
Was it in conflict with a specific App Store policy?
