I am trying to convince my boss to buy Apple instead of Dell. His main argument is when you buy a Dell machine you can get an engineer to come to your place and fix the machine.

Do Apple offer that?

Thanks

Nope unfortunately.

Dell and HP are huge in the corporate world whereas Apple are nothing there, it wouldn't be viable financially for Apple to offer that kind of service.

Surely they need to start offering things like that otherwise businesses are not going to buy their products

Businesses don't buy their products anyway.

You have a company full of workers, all they do is Microsoft Office and email, do you want to buy them a $300 Dell or an $1199 iMac, then multiply that for all of your 1,000 workers.

There is also a lack of many business applications that they need, MS Access, Project, decent MS Exchange support etc.
