Do the battery apps in the App Store work? I mean, are they just timers or do they actually do something?

With the iOS sandboxing the way it is, I don't see how they can do anything useful. They can't access any system APIs or other processes to actually do something to save life. Third-party apps can't even turn Wifi/Bluetooth on or off.

They might be able to tell you the current status, charge level, of your battery but your phone/iPad already does that. Other than that, they don't do anything useful.

I'm not certain that they don't help. I plug in every night and can't see any harm done. storevreviews are pretty good

As everybody have mentioned these so called apps are really useless..I dont ever get any benefits from these apps.
