I’m confused now. The Solo3’s are your daily drivers right? Then why don’t you use your HD1 when you think they’re better despite the Beats having the W1 chip?

Wait so for you it’s Solo3 > HD1 > Studio3?

In terms of sound overall it’s HD1 > Solo3 > Studio3.

Though due to the usefulness of the W1 chip I do use the Solo3 more than the HD1. I wouldn’t use the leather of the HD1 at the gym which contributes to that as well.

I think you’ll be fine with either the 4.50 or the Solo3. Based on what you’ve told me I think the 4.50 is a better fit due to the Sennheiser signature and ANC.

Yeah, I don’t think I’m willing to try a different form factor with the lack of ANC and worse sound quality just for the W1 chip.

Thanks for helping me out!

Let me know how you like what you end up purchasing!

They’re great however my ears just barely fit inside the ear cups and even the lowest volume setting seems loud to me depending on the content I’m listening to. Also the feeling of wearing them especially with ANC on is so weird to me but I guess that’s because I’m used to open back headphones. The sound quality is much better than I expected.
