Do Black Macbooks really look so bad?

I've seen it, and it rocks!

Just wondering, have you seen it in person or will you order it from Apple.ca?

In person, teh black one looks really cheap. Unlike the black iPod which looks like the monolith from 2001, the black ipod looks like an inexpensive piece of plastic junk. The finish is really, really ugly, even compared to the white one.

I've seen it in person, many times and used the black macbooks frequently. It is not cheap at all, it looks and is very well made. To compare it to the iPod is not accurate or fair. It has a much different finish and again if you care for it like it should be cared for, finish problems such as in the link below should never happen. If I was in the market, I wouldn't think twice. They rock!

I've had my black MacBook for a little over a month now. Although I do take care of it, I am not psycho about keeping it in pristine condition. So far it has not a single scratch on it. It does pick up fingerprints easily, but so does the white model. It's only because it's black that you can see fingerprints. I just use a microfibre cloth and wipe it down with some spray I bought every now and then.

Thanks for the input, everyone! I've made my final decision: I'm going to take the plunge and order a Blackbook just as soon as I get my bonus at the end of the month! Finally I can replace my ancient iBook G4! 😀
