My Calendar all-day events don't get shown in Apple Watch complications. Is there any way of making these show?

iOS 16.0.3 iPhone 12 Pro Max
WatchOS 9.0.2 Series 5 cellular

If you tap the complication, it will show you all-day events, but I imagine the reason it doesn't show on the complication itself is that if you have other events going on at specific times during the day, they need to appear there one at a time in order. An all-day event would hijack the complication, not allowing the other events to display as their time approached.

Thanks. I tried adding alerts but those don't show in the complication either for all day events.

I guess I will just have to rethink how I enter Calendar appointments.

Seems like they need to add some sort of icon on the complication that indicates there's an all-day event coming up or currently going on in addition to non-all-day events displayed. Something like this:

Mine shows all day events from the night before. Once the day starts, it seems to jump to the next event on that day.

I have no current events on my calendar and I created an all day event for tomorrow earlier to test this before I posted to the thread, but it didn't show up on my AW complication. So I guess it has to be later in the day before it shows an all day event for tomorrow? But then how does that work if you have non-all-day events in the evening?

It always shows the next actual event. I always have all day events as my team and I use our calendar's all day events to show who is out. Last night (at the end of the day) it showed my all day events. First thing in the morning it switched to my first actual meeting.

Last night before it showed today's all day events it said "no more events." So it really treats all day evens as more of an FYI, which works for my use case. If it didn't do this, I wouldn't see simultaneous events as all I would see are all day events every day.

If you want to trick it, don't select all day, just make it an early morning meeting that lasts a short time (i.e. 15 mins, or even 0 mins).
