Hi Everyone,
I can get a previous generations 2.4 uMBP for 1399 or a uMB for 900 from a university. Do these computers qualify for the back to school free ipod touch back to school promotion?

If not are these still good deals compared to the new 13inch base uMBP which costs 1100 + tax.
Thanks

I should have been more clear. These macs are brand new. They are the unsold previous generation stock at a university, that is why they are discounted. They are not refurbished.

If these are at a university bookstore, I feel it would be best to contact the bookstore directly, or Apple. Nothing in the T&S explicitly rules out clearance, but does not explicitly include them either.

I'm pretty sure the rebate form specifies which model #s qualify.

If on campus there is an "authorized campus store" BTS appears to be perfectly acceptable.

I bought my MBP on clearance right when the back to school promo started last year. I called Apple and asked if I was eligible for the free iPod and they said no, since I wasn't buying the current model. This was the case even though my clearance model was brand new.
