The fire resistant paint I found is quite impressive. If the school media room had been painted with it, the rest of the school would still be there. (firefree.com) A reviewer tried painting one side of a piece of cardboard with it and found a blowtorch took 8 minutes to ignite the cardboard through the paint. It puffs up to form an insulation barrier when the paint reaches 350 degrees. Overkill for me, but I can sleep quite nicely with overkill.
