Do you buy Wi-Fi+Cellular versions of iPads or Wi-Fi Only?

When use in WiFi do cellular iPads drain more battery than WiFi models even when it’s not connected to any cellular plans?
If you don't have cellular service, or if the cellular radio is shut off, there should be effectively no difference in battery life.

Okay thanks. So I pretty much have to use Google maps only if I use without data. Considering a cellular version iPad just for this, very tempting.

Apple maps should also be able to work from offline maps - the phone version does, haven't tested ipad version.
