Do Finder back/forward gestures work now?

In Mavericks, I can no longer go back/forward in Finder using trackpad gestures, even if 'Swipe with two or three fingers' is chosen in System Preferences. It used to work in ML and Lion.

Does Yosemite restore this functionality? I think it was pretty stupid to remove it in the first place.

No, 2finger back/forward gestures in finder are used exclusively for horizontal scrolling.
