do i have a video problem?

i've doom3 and it'll play sound but no video! how do i fix this?

it runs no problem on my macbook however!

what more can i give?

i go to play the game, the sound of the game starts but no video/graphics.
i don't know what else to say....a blank screen is all i get while the sound of the game plays.

So its just when playing the game? Can you do other stuff or test other games. At this point it just sounds like the game isnt working.

Sharing what system you're referring to would be a start. I assume you're speaking of a MBP, but it's hard to diagnose system problems without knowing what componentry could be broken.

So, to give the glib response: yes, you have a video problem.

dvds and everything else works fine....just this game on this computer. it works fine on my macbook so i doubt its the game

Have you tried reinstalling the game?

is there somewhere i can go to change video settings? as i feel this is the direction i should be going to solve this problem.
