My iMac constantly tried to open Mail when I wake it from sleep and I have to force quit, and it just randomly started a screensaver even though the screensaver is disabled in system preferences.

What should I do to check?

You don't have a virus: Mac Virus/Malware Info

Look at System Preferences > Accounts > Login Items

Also, what apps have you installed lately?

Duff-man says...yes, it seems you have the very dreaded "IHaveNot SearchedAndResearchedBeforeCreatingYetAnotherThread" virus...just delete all your important data and wipe your hard drive several times and you'll be just fine...

But seriously.....c'mon, please do just a bit of homework before going though this all yet again.....oh yeah!

Thanks for the info. Something is def up. Weird screensavers and strange sleep patterns.

There's nothing out of the ordinary in my login items. Just software I use...

    FontExplorerXAutoload
    GrowlHelperApp
    iTunesHelper
    Canon IJ Network Scanner
    TomTomHOMERunner
    VMware Fusion Helper
    ChronoSync
    Flux
    Dropbox

Will have a look through my apps and see what I've installed recently.
