    Hey,
today I was on omegle and suddenly a pop up came up what redirected me to a porn site, I immediately closed the site and went back to omegle and there it says that my IP address was banned and under the categories "text" and "video" were two new ones "gay" and "porn".

I installed avast and let it check if I have a virus but it couldn't find anything.
Is it possible that some stranger gave me a virus ???
    Thanks

    You don't have a virus.

OS X is not immune to viruses, but thus far there have been none in the wild that have been a problem or infected Macs. I'm quite sure if a virus was out there that effected OS X, we would have heard about it. There are other forms of malware that can effect Macs, but the best way to avoid them is safe computing.

Currently there are zero viruses affecting Mac OS X in public circulation, but there are other kinds of malware existing, that can infect your Mac, but that can be avoided via employing the proper security steps without the help of any anti virus software.

Quite interesting... I go on Omegle a lot and this exact thing happened to me about a week ago... Either it was a glitch or a hacker on Omegle banned you. But surprisingly I was unbanned the next day... Nope you don't have a virus.
