Do I have to go to an AT&T store for account on corporate FAN?

There are some great Black Friday deals on iPhone 5s… e.g. Walmart.

I'd like to upgrade our 4's, and am on AT&T with a corporate FAN. Years ago, I tried to upgrade at an Apple store and was told I could only go to the AT&T store because my account was associated with a corporate FAN.

Anybody know if this is this still the case? Unfortunately AT&T stores don't seem to have any iPhone black friday deals.

I upgraded from a iPhone 3Gs, to an iPhone 4s through Apple online. Then to an HTC One at a Frys Electronics. Then to my current iPhone 5s in person at an Apple store. Never had any issues due to my FAN account.

I had to call and remove the FAN discount from my line while waiting in line for the iPhone 3G in 2008 at the Apple Store, in order to buy the phone there. I believe they fixed this issue shortly after that as I've never upgraded my phone through AT&T.

You have to do it either in store or online. I'd recommend online. Fast and quick.
