My apologies if I missed anything. I did some searching and the only stuff I was finding was from a few years back when Apple started giving away iLife for free for legacy users.

I just updated to OS X Yosemite. It looks like all my iWork and iLife apps are available for install from the App Store except for iMovie. It's asking for $14.99. I really don't use iMovie that much but do have some plans for it in the near future.

Any suggestions? I'd rather not install iLife on this since I'd like to avoid legacy software. I do have an external HDD with I think Mavericks installed on it. I'm guessing I can maybe mess around with it on there then sign back in on Yosemite and it should be there?

Just wanted to update this. I decided that I'm going to need iMovie so I went to download it.

When I clicked purchase it said that I already purchased this so I won't be charged. It downloaded and I still have a couple of bucks in my iTunes account.

I'm not saying this will happen with anyone else but I just wanted to put this out there.
