Do I move my SIM card from the iPhone 4 in my iPhone 4S?

I've sold my iPhone 4 yesterday but removed my SIM card.

When I receive my iPhone 4S today, should I insert this SIM card or just active the new phone using iTunes with the new SIM card, etc?

I'm guessing you will have to put your sim card in at some point
