Is it safe to surf the internet without a script blocker? When I was on Windows, using Google Chrome, I used the 'No Script' extension, and it allowed you to easily whitelist sites, but it was a real PITA.

I was finding myself always having to grant permission to sites that I was not very familiar with. Is it really needed with Safari in High Sierra? I was reading something like Apple sandboxes scripts anyhow. Do I need to be concerned??

by "script" are you referring to Java Script?

in Safari there is a Preference you can set to Enable Java Script.

JavaScript is one of the major front-end and back-end ( gainly popularity slowly ) language used in web application development these days. Turning off javascript would probably disable many websites. It would certainly generate a popup asking you to please turn on javascript for anything I've worked on in the last five years or so.
