I don’t want to use private browsing mode because it doesn’t save usernames or auto fill passwords. Would a VPN be my best option?

Safari already prevents third parties not related to the website from setting cookies.
The website you visit can track you all within their website- but so what. But that info isn’t available to other trackers.

Get a VPN if you’re paranoid or in fear of government entities sending you to prison, otherwise it’s not really necessary.

Then how do you suppose Reddit is linking my accounts? I received a 7 day ban for a frivolous reason (I told someone to shut up who was bullying me) and when I made a new account I received a site wide ban for “ban evasion.” I’ve never had this issue before, are they using my MAC or IP? I am exclusively posting through the mobile site using Safari and rarely connect to WiFi.

What does a VPN do, do sites like Reddit IP ban?

Why not just accept the reprimand and learn from it. It’s always good to take a break from Reddit anyway.

Reddit mods don’t have access to IP address info.

Most likely they matched your posting habit and your hard on for that guy and saw a brand new account.

Unless you went full stupid and threatened him which possibly could get you a full Reddit ban.

No I stay away from the subs that have banned me, and the members I don’t like. I’m not suggesting the mods are behind the banning of my new accounts, but the admins. Are you sure they don’t have access to IP or any info that could connect my accounts? I’ve read stuff about bots that can be programmed to track these unique identifiers. I’ve even been careful not to revisit the same subjects or tone/wording, so I know it isn’t my posting style. What could it be on the technical end? That is literally the only possibility.

I would except Reddit has a monopoly on public forums. It is literally the only message board aside from this and a few others that receives a reliable amount of traffic. I’ve TRIED posting elsewhere, everything is dead. Nothing comes close. Not to mention the convenience of Reddit having a message board for literally everything you could think of. Most importantly, I didn’t do anything to deserve being suspended, let alone permabanned. It’s ridiculous.

Sub mods do not have ip info.
