Do I need Internet to install OS X onto a Mac Pro

I've been having some issues with my Mac Pro and I'm now wondering will I need Internet connection to reinstall osx from a bootable usb..?

Just to confirm that is for every copy of OS X as I read something about Lion...? Also I hv completely formatted my HDD will that make a difference..?

Install OSX from bootable USB drive don't need any internet connection.

Using internet recovery to install OSX is another matter, which is not applicable on the cMP anyway.

From memory, as long as the HDD is correctly formatted, it should be OK.
