h9826790 macrumors P6 Apr 7, 2016 #4 Install OSX from bootable USB drive don't need any internet connection. Using internet recovery to install OSX is another matter, which is not applicable on the cMP anyway. From memory, as long as the HDD is correctly formatted, it should be OK.
