Do I need to deactivate Adobe to reformat?

Hi, I am going to make a copy of my drive to an external disk, format my drive and then copy the copy back over (so I can install Windows on a partition), do I need to deactivate my adobe software in order to use it again once everything is done?

No, I've done w/o needing to deactivate PS but with that said, it is safer to deactivate and may save you from a potential headache.
